The syncing happen after 10pm every 24 hours and it is automatically done by Microsoft server. The limit is 300 person / account per hour. Depending on your name in the migration list / batch and also your e-mail content or size, server load etc. this may effect the time you will see your new e-mail(from Gmail) in the Outlook. Rest assure on 1 Mac 2023 all new e-mail will be in your Outlook inbox. 

You MUST use Microsoft Outlook to check  your e-mail. Click here to open your e-mail.

Microsoft Outlook app (included with Microsoft Office 365 package) and Windows Mail app already installed on computers with Windows version 10 and above. To access your e-mail, simply open the Microsoft Outlook or Windows Mail app, then enter your e-mail address (name@uthm.edu.my) and password. The application will automatically add your account so you can start to manage your e-mails and calendar. Yes, all e-mails and “contact lists” will be transferred to Microsoft Outlook. (To transfer your files on Google Drive to OneDrive, please use RaiDrive ->CLICK HERE for the tutorial)

Yes, your password is global and can be use across all UTHM systems.

Yes, recording is supported and you will received notification e-mail once the video is ready.

This function is not allowed and deactivated because;

i. Managing and monitoring of names in the list is not within the scope of PTM’s tasks.
ii. We are avoiding common problem of unsupervised/uncontrolled/forgotten mailing list.”

You MUST REPLACE  your UTHM e-mail with personal e-mail immediately. Always remember that you are entitled to use UTHM e-mail as long as you are a member of UTHM(staff or student). We are not responsible for any inconvenient issues in the future.

You will be given a period of 2 months to backup/download your data before your account is permanently terminated.

Yes, you can still use Microsoft services as usual.

EXISTING STAFF
Yes, you may login to your Google account using the same e-mail address (name@uthm.edu.my).

NEW STAFF(report for duty after 1 March 2023)
This is not possible as no UTHM’s Google account is created for you.

NO, if you try to do so, the sending will fail.

PTM will no longer provide support for any Google related issues after March 1, 2023 because everything will be on Microsoft officially. You may try to contact Google support by yourself.

REMINDER
Any new Google account requests for staff or student after March 1, 2023 will not be fulfilled.

STAFF
Access to Google services after March 1, 2023 is unofficial / archive reference only. The allocated size for “EXISTING STAFF” is 30GB. 

STUDENT
All student account will be terminated on 1st May 2023. Please BACK UP your data within two(2) months (from March 1, 2023 to April 30, 2023) before the termination date mentioned.

EXISTING STAFF
You may use your Google account as before (name@uthm.edu.my).

NEW STAFF(report for duty after 1 March 2023)
